Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has confirmed in an interview with Turkish media outlet Fanatik that he rejected moves to Premier League duo Brighton and Hove Albion and West Bromwich Albion during the summer to join Fenerbahce on loan, and Spurs fans aren’t impressed with his mentality.
Janssen told Fanatik: “I could have joined West Brom or Brighton, but what would have happened had I joined one of them? I do not want to think about it”.
The Netherlands international was told he could leave the north London outfit by manager Mauricio Pochettino following a difficult debut campaign, but he obviously decided that he didn’t want to stay in the English top flight and prove himself.
Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the 23-year-old’s latest quotes via social media, and while some said he has a “weak mentality”, others believe “he’s a bottler”.
