According to The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur did not receive any offers for Christian Eriksen during the summer despite a host of speculation.
The likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United were credited with an interest in the Denmark international ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
Eriksen ultimately remained with Mauricio Pochettino’s side, though, and according to The Athletic, there was not a single concrete bid for the playmaker.
The former Ajax youngster will see his current deal expire at the end of the season, and it seems unlikely that he will be signing a new contract in the capital – certainly if you believe a report from Marca that suggests he wants to go.
Eriksen struggled to make his mark against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon – boasting just a 59% pass success rate, according to WhoScored.
As expected, a number of Tottenham fans have been on social media offering their views on the latest speculation surrounding the Dane.
