Rafael Benitez showed loyalty to Newcastle United by staying with the Magpies when they were relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2015-16 season.
There were mutterings in the summer that the Spaniard could walk out the exit gates over a lacklustre transfer market.
The manager had hoped to bring in major targets after guiding the Magpies back to the top flight, but the funds were not there.
At the moment, club owner Mike Ashley is in talks to sell his shares, which makes the future relatively uncertain for Newcastle.
Former Magpie David Ginola is worried that Benitez could leave if the club fail to meet his ambition.
The Spaniard has plenty of managerial experience having coached Liverpool, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Napoli and Real Madrid.
Ginola has suggested that Benitez would have no trouble attracting attention from big clubs around Europe.

While speaking on radio station talkSPORT, the retired footballer said:
“He belongs to top teams. If Newcastle do not make any effort to show him that they want to be at the top, I think he’s going to be on his way.”
